ARE YOU BESIDE THE STILL WATERS?

Are you beside the still waters,

where our healing flows?

Lying in the green pastures,

where He leads us to go.

Are you following,

or running ahead?

Trying to do it yourself,

not allowing Him instead?

His promises are true,

and His Word never fails.

We follow in His foot steps,

on the Shepherd’s trails.

He in His wisdom has given us His

instructions and a choice,

to know His Word

and to follow His voice.

The voice of this world would

have you rushing all the time.

Busy , busy,  all in His name…

While he cries, come, you are mine.

His desire is our company,

his desire is to restore.

His desire is wholeness,

how could we ask for more?

He loves for us to trust Him,

beside the still waters to wait.

Lying in green pastures, he lingers…

for this communion, so don’t be late.

The business of all the things

that have to be done….

Keep us from the most wonderful gift...

the presence of  His son.

It’s beside these waters that healing

is promised as we rest in His stillness.

Resting, feeding among the best that he

offers, it can’t get any better than this.

Lying down, our continual labors can wait

a while. We need to rest at His feet.

Renewed to continue, full of His presence.

If we would but stop, and with Him meet.

He’s waiting dear ones, come aside.

As he bids.... Come away with Him.

Run to meet Him while you can,

The day’s light’s  growing dim.
