FRUIT THAT LASTS

Galations 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace,
longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self control......

Matthew 15:8 " By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit...."

Matthew 7:20 " Therefore by their fruits you shall know them."

John 19:16 "You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you
that YOU SHOULD GO FORTH AND BEAR MUCH FRUIT, AND THAT YOUR FRUIT SHOULD REMAIN, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you."

FRUIT THAT LASTS

Will there be fruit through the winter?
Will he always be your first love, your center?
Is there still fruit through the fires?
Does he remain your heart's desire?

The Father is seeking for the fruit that will last.
He is watching also all the nets that are cast.
He desires the Fruit of the Spirit more than just works.
We labor until we are emptied, poured out till it hurts.

When the floods come, does your fruit remain?
Or eaten up by things, of which you complain?
Do you consume your own fruit, with angry words?
He's looking for the fruit through all he's heard.

Can you offer Him fruit through the hard times?
Through time's toll, will it be there for Him to find?
Is it destroyed by the trials, flesh or your self will?
Can the enemy take it, does it remain in you still?

Have you any fruit to offer those in need?
Have you wasted it... with some unkind deed?
The fruit of His Spirit is for others you see.
It isn't to be consumed upon ourselves, you or me.

The lost and hurting need this fruit he produced.
The Master Gardener planted and then He loosed.
Spiritual Fruit that we are all to cultivate,
Will it thrive through the heat or some other fate?

  Unforgiveness, bitterness, poison and such
Will eat your fruit, or your left without much.
He looks for it to multiply, us to be "His fruitful land."
For we are His Garden, that he long ago planned.

He will come looking to see if it has remained.
I pray we all will be fruitful and not ashamed.
I know our prayer is to be just like Him.
We should be..we're His next of kin.

   The Beloved

  Song of Solomon 4: 12 & 16
A garden enclosed is my sister, my spouse. A spring shut up, A fountain sealed.

  16:
Awake ,O North wind, And come, O South ! Blow upon my garden, That it's
spices may flow out. Let my beloved come to his garden and eat it's
pleasant fruits.
