“God dwells In our house ”
Oh, the love of our heavenly Father,
that he would so love imperfect men.
That he’d come to dwell in our house,
talk face to face, walk friend with friend!
He may see the peeling paper,
He may see an imperfect floor,
He may see a cobweb, or cracked window,
But he see’s that you’ve opened the door!
He so cares about our inner man,
knowing there’s molding yet to do.
He sheds His love about, giving light,
As side by side, he works with you.
For he sees your house as completed,
as he looks through His heart of love.
Knowing we’re ever pressing toward the mark,
that high calling from above.
That we are already, by faith, restored in Jesus,
and His transforming power and might,
He dwells now among us,
because he sees with spiritual insight.
He overlooks the now imperfections,
and he sees us as we shall all be.
Teaching us to do likewise,
to love others, as he has loved you and me!
